About

Hi there! I'm Nadie van Wijk, a Dutch graphic designer and illustrator based in Enschede, the Netherlands. Working from my home studio, I create nature-inspired illustrations that blend design and storytelling.

My work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural world, the human psyche, and the little details that make life beautiful. Whether it's a hand-drawn calendar, a screen-printed tote bag, or a ceramic piece with botanical motifs, each item is crafted with care and intention.

In my shop, you'll find a curated collection of illustrated goods, from art prints and stationery to upcycled tableware and wearable art. I also enjoy collaborating with fellow creatives and small businesses to develop visual identities and printed materials that resonate.

I’ve always enjoyed drawing, most of my illustrations start with just a black fineliner or if I work digitally, my iPad and a bit of quiet time. Alongside that, I like using different techniques, sometimes I like to screen print or work with lino cutting. I like how imperfect and expressive it can be; no two prints ever turn out quite the same. Most of my digital work on the iPad is also inspired on block printing.

I also work with ceramics now and then. I often screen print my own illustrations onto (second-hand) ceramic pieces, giving them a new life. Each one is decorated by hand, and because they go through a kiln, it’s always a bit of a surprise how they turn out. Most ceramic items are one of a kind and signed on the bottom.

As for the prints in my shop: those are digital reproductions of my original drawings. I don’t usually sell the originals, I tend to keep those for myself :)

Beyond the studio, I share my space with my partner Jip, our cat Sam and our dog Nissa. Our home is a cozy haven filled with thrifted treasures and plants. Friends call our house a small natural museum.

Thanks for stopping by and supporting independent art!
